Almost 6 months!

I know I’ve been a very bad cyber prof and have seriously neglected this space.  I suppose I have a good reason, or two.  first, my Dad had been suffering from poor health for about 6 months, and passed away on Thanksgiving.  Also, this has been one of my busiest terms ever.  The bad economy has kept business booming and I have had a lot of work.  So yes, I’ve been slammed, but honestly, I’m grateful for the bounty. All of this has meant that I have kept a rather low profile, but I hope that will change in 2010.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s not easy losing a parent, especially around a holiday. Glad to hear work has been good — I think it’s been busy for everyone this term. I’m looking forward to catching up on my blogging too after grading jail is done in a couple of weeks! Good to hear from you again!

Amy, just a quick compliment on your essay reprinted in TEN YEARS OF TRIUMPH OF THE MOON.
So pleased to see you turn your Observant Eye towards Western Occultism and it’s Secret Societies. Regardless of the content of any group (which I appreciate, but even if I did not) an analysis of the Process by which tradition is transmitted and created adds to the store of Wisdom available to all.
Every time I feel I have a handle on Masonic history (for example) I discover some new facet previously hidden, facts just unearthed or published, analysis that places this aspect of human endeavor in context with the rest of the Human experience.
    Thank you.

Hi Amy! Found your blog here. Glad to see you’re doing well, though I’m sorry to hear your dad passed. I’m glad we were able to sing for him on V-Day last year and give him another special memory to take with him on his journey.

Miss hearing from you. Best wishes to you for this holiday season and 2010, and hope to talk again soon.
